CHAPTER 2 LITERATURE REVIEW INTRODUCTION The terms ‘sound’ and ‘acoustics’ are similar, but there is a difference in their functionality representation. Acoustic is defined as the scientific study of sound which includes the effect of reflection, refraction, absorption, diffraction and interference. Foundations of Engineering Acoustics takes the reader on a journey from a qualitative introduction to the physical nature of sound, explained in terms of common experience, to mathematical models and analytical results which underlie the techniques applied by the engineering industry to improve the acoustic performance of their products. The book is distinguished by extensive descriptions and Cited by:

This acoustics handbook for mechanical and architectural applications is a translation of the German standard work on the subject. It not only describes the state of art of engineering acoustics but also gives practical help to engineers for solving acoustic problems. It deals with the origin, the transmission and the methods of abatement of air-borne and structure-borne sound of different. Over the years, numerous investigations have established the gerotor fundamentals. This work aims to provide a complete review of the literature from the last decade, focusing on the articles published in the past five years on gerotor technology in hydraulic machines. This paper is a survey of the literature on gear noise and vibration. It is divided into three parts, “Transmission error”, “Dynamic models” The most frequently used type of gear profile is the involute.

It is used for cylindrical spur and bands to the gear mesh frequency, with the frequency of tooth mesh frequency +/- the shaft.
